A state of the art kitchen and wholesome nourishing food makes our hostel extremely popular. The cafeteria provides breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner and also organizes food during special events or school outings. The menu is changed on a monthly basis, and care is taken to include suggestions from children and teachers alike. The menu caters for vegetarians and non-vegetarians . During festive occasions, specific meal planning is also done.
Mealtimes
Breakfast is served for the entire school between 7:30 at 8:00 a.m. Mid-morning snacks for hostelites is at 10:50 a.m. Lunch is served for day boarders and hostelites between 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Evening Snacks for hostelites is served at 4:30 p.m. Dinner is served for hostelites between 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Super Saturdays and Special Sundays are special meals planned for our Full Boarders Meals for invalids are also available on request as and when required.
Global Public School runs a fleet of air-conditioned vehicles weaving an efficient network across the city and its suburbs. Each bus is manned by competent drivers and Bus assistants who ensure that the students are taken to school and dropped back home regularly. Routes are mapped across main arterial roads. Route maps are available with the Transportation staff in the School Office.
Sports and Pastime
Swimming, Physical Education and Sports are compulsory for all during regular school for students who opt for the extended day activity a whole range of sporting activities are on offer. With an inviting pool on campus it is obvious that swimming is not only a sought after activity but also one which has earned us laurels .Our full time In house swimming coach. Athletics, Football, Basketball, Cricket are some of the active sports that our children are encouraged to pursue.
Sports Patrons
Global public school is privileged to have Matthew Hayden (Cricketer) and Giaan Rooney (Swimmer) from Australia as our Sports Patrons. Our students have drawn inspiration and also benefitted immensely from Sports Clinics conducted by the Olympian Giann Rooney and the International Cricket Star Matthew Hayden.
Fitness First
A sound mind in a sound body is a short but full description of a happy state in this world, said John Locke. To keep all our students in a sound body while at studies or at play, we have a full equipped clinic with a nurse. A qualified pediatrician from the US , Dr. Vijayalakshmi Palazhi, visits school thrice a week.
Resource Room
A shoulder to cry on, someone to rely on, goes the song. Our fully trained and experienced counselors help identify and support children with different learning abilities. They provide a window for students who may need to express their feelings or need a confidant.
Department of Music
The Music Department of global public school is highly active. A period is allotted for music for all students from Grades 1 to 8. The types of songs the children learn are in keeping with their age. The tiny tots of Grades 1 and 2 are taught campfire songs. Students of Grades 3 to 8 are taught songs suited for choral singing. Besides nurturing the vocalists, the members of staff of the Music Department are engaged in teaching the intricacies of various instruments like the piano, keyboard, guitar, violin and the drums. Students are taken through the curriculum of Music of the Trinity College of London (TCL) and those playing the guitar and the piano are encouraged to take the graded examinations conducted by the Trinity College of London.…
